Redistribution Print E-mail
Introduction

The Rethinking Redistribution resource is a guide to innovative ideas and policies which are focused upon the redistribution of income and wealth. A wide range of schemes have been proposed - basic income, stakeholder grants, tax credits and negative income taxes. These proposals have been put forward for many different reasons and have been designed by researchers from all ends of the political spectrum. The aim of the Rethinking Redistribution resource is to explain these concepts clearly and to provide a guide to more detailed analyses.

The Rethinking Redistribution resource is made up of the following interlinked sections:

Basic Income. A resource exploring proposals for a basic income, citizen's income or participation income.

Stakeholder Grants. Details of "demogrants", baby bonds and related proposals.

Tax Credits. Here the resource explains suggestions for a Negative Income Tax and other Tax-Benefit Integration propositions, together with details policies such as the Working Family Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit.
