The National Stroke Strategy for England

The National Stroke Strategy for England was published by the Department of Health on Wednesday 5 December 2007. The strategy is the culmination of years of work by The Stroke Association and other stakeholders with an interest in stroke care. It contains much of what The Stroke Association has been campaigning for since the publication of The Stroke Association Manifesto in 2005, and builds on the recommendations in the National Audit Office’s 2005 report “Reducing Brain Damage: Faster access to better stroke care”. .
