Darfuri's removal halted

3 April 2007. Late last night, UK immigration authorities halted the removal of Darfuri African survivor Mohammed Abdulhadi Ali. His legal representatives at Paragon Law in Nottingham were informed by the East Midlands Enforcement Unit that removal had been cancelled in light of further representations they submitted. These included fresh evidence of the torture of Darfuris removed to Khartoum, brought to light last week by the Aegis Trust, in conjunction with the Guardian and Channel Four News. .
