‘Rebuilding is testament to your resilience’ - Mike Huckabee at Kigali Memorial Centre

Governor Mike Huckabee and his delegation today visited the Kigali Memorial Centre to lay wreaths on the graves of over 250,000 victims of the genocide. Governor Huckabee who earlier this year failed to secure the Republican nomination to stand for election as USA president, commented, “it is a grim reminder of not only what has happened but also a very hopeful reminder of the power of forgiveness. The fact that the people of Rwanda can move forward after this atrocity is a testament to their strength and their greatness. Perhaps even more powerful than the horrors of the genocide is the absolute sheer wonder of the capacity to move forward and beyond.”
