Radovan Karadzic arrest 'a great day for international justice'

Responding to tonight's arrest in Serbia of Dr Radovan Karadzic, Dr James Smith, Chief Executive of the Aegis Trust, stated: "This is a great day for international justice and sends a warning to genocide suspects everywhere that their future lies in the courtroom."As wartime President of the self-declared Republika Srpska in Bosnia, Karadzic is suspected of responsibility for largescale atrocities including the massacre of 8,000 men and boys at Srebrenica in July 1995.
