Census Snapshot: Iowa

This research study provides demographic and economic information for same-sex couples and same-sex couples raising children in Iowa. The study shows that 19% of the 5,800 same-sex couples in the Iowa are raising more than 1,400 children. The study also shows that same-sex couples with children have fewer economic resources than their heterosexual, married counterparts.
