Amnesty International today welcomes the release of 14 prisoners of conscience in Equatorial Guinea, including a pastor who was an outspoken critic of government treatment of minorities. Since 2002, Amnesty International activists in the United States and worldwide had repeatedly appealed for the prisoners' release in letters sent to government leaders.
