Students in Rwanda, US and UK launch ‘Action for C.A.R.’ .

An international youth-led campaign which aims to support peacebuilding in the Central African Republic through a mixture of fundraising, education, advocacy and in-country social cohesion activities, ‘Action for C.A.R.’ was launched today by Aegis Students and STAND, the US-based student anti-genocide movement. Belgian Deputy PM visits Kigali Genocide Memorial, notes potential for partnership .

Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Didier Reynders, together with Minister for Development Cooperation Alexander De Croo, yesterday concluded two days in Rwanda with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. During a tour of the Genocide Archive Rwanda at the Memorial with Yves Kamuronsi, the Aegis Trust’s Deputy Director in Rwanda, Reynders viewed the library, the physical archives and saw how documents relating to the history of Genocide in Rwanda are being preserved, digitized and made accessible for education purposes and for the public visiting at large.

Call for Proposals by Rwandan Researchers .

The Aegis Trust is pleased to announce a call for proposals by Rwandan researchers, as part of its new programme on Research, Higher Education and Policy, funded by the UK Department for International Development (DfID). The deadline for research proposals is 6 February 2015. Proposals are sought for innovative, challenging research papers of between 7000 and 10,000 words (in English or French) on the following broad themes
