Ban Ki-Moon to speak at opening of UN exhibition on Rwanda’s Genocide

30 April 2007. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon is expected to speak at the UN HQ opening Monday night of a traveling exhibition on the Rwandan Genocide, produced by the Aegis Trust for genocide prevention in partnership with the United Nations Department for Public Information. The Aegis Trust will be represented by its Campaigns Director, Stephen Twigg, previously a minister in the current British Government. .

Students and survivors launch 'walk4Darfur'

As day breaks on Thursday morning, three days ahead of the third ‘Global Day for Darfur’ – set to see rallies and demonstrations in over 300 cities worldwide calling for an end to the crisis – survivors from the Holocaust to Darfur will be joined by university students at Oakington on the outskirts of Cambridge to start a 75-mile march to Whitehall, timed to join the main UK rally at midday on Sunday. .
