Homeless People and Learning and Skills – participation, barriers and progression

Research involving over 250 homeless people in Newcastle, Birmingham and London, exploring the extent to which homeless people are involved in learning and skills activities, and their experiences of these. Key findings outline the levels of skills and qualifications amongst homeless people, the benefits of participation, many of the difficulties and barriers that they face, and ways in which learning and skills can contribute to their attempts to move towards more independent living.
