There have been a number of key developments in the provision of 14-19 education over the last few years. These changes aimed to provide an opportunity for vocational learning for young people who would benefit most and to support their achievement at key stage 4 and their progression into further education and training. The Government has continued its commitment to reforming education at 14-19 with the 14-19 Education and Skills Implementation Plan that was announced in 2005.
