This report offers a set of recommendations for improving both the return process itself and the reintegration support available to returnees, in order to ensure that policy in this area is as effective, efficient, humane and sustainable as possible.This report presents new primary data on the experiences of irregular migrants who have returned from Europe to Nigeria, and of stakeholders in the returns process. Nigerians represent a sizeable portion of the millions of irregular migrants currently residing within the EU, presenting significant challenges to the Nigerian government as well as European authorities.
