AAAS Works to Certify an Already "Green," Energy-Efficient Headquarters Building

The imposing 12-story AAAS headquarters building, designed by renowned architect Henry N. Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, is among the finest examples of "green architecture" in Washington, D.C. Features and infrastructure in the 200,000-square-foot building, open since 1996, help to reduce environmentally harmful emissions, increase energy efficiency, and promote good health and comfort for employees.
